Our departure will be after the Blessing of the fleet, so you can have your boat & crew blessed just before going on your seasons initial voyage. In addition to just being blessed, by joining our flotilla so you will also have the company and safety of several other yachts. The Flotilla will depart from the end of breakwater (Time about 2:00 PM) and cruise to RCYC, Great Kills Harbor, Power and Sail welcome to join. Once at RCYC we will enjoy dinner & drinks and the camaraderie of old and new friends. The next Day we will sail back to our home port, again with the company and safety of several other yachts. Special Note, as this is a local trip, for captains in which their yacht may not be ready, or for the clubs‘ social members, you can drive to the RCYC and join the group for dinner and drinks. Please note as this trip will require close coordination with the RCYC, Registration will be required by 5/19, and cancelations no later than June 4th. However, EARLY REGISTRATION is requested to assist in the Trips coordination.

We will gather @ the breakwater and head to Sheepshead Bay @ 9:00 AM, (SBYC – Sheepshead Bay Yacht Club), the trip is expected to take about 2 1/2 hours. Once all boats are moored, we will head to a Mermaid Parade viewing location (Starts @ 1:00). Later that evening we will enjoy dinner & drinks (TBD). This is a great cruise for those new to cruising, as it‘s a close trip. The next day we will sail back to our home port, Power and Sail are all welcome to join. For the clubs‘ social members, you can drive to the Sheepshead Bay and join the group for the Parade & dinner and drinks. Please register as early as possible to assist with our planning Registration is required by 6/2, cancelations no later than 6/18.

Boats will either anchor or request to raft up to an anchored vessel. At approximately 1 PM, we will depart the statue and Head north up the Hudson River to the Intrepid, flying rainbow flags for all of NYC and Jersey to view. We will then turn around and to return to the Battery, round the corner to South Street Seaport before heading to ONE15 Brooklyn Marina. Make your Marina reservations Dockwa.com, Register for the event with both the Knickerbocker Sailing Association, and AHYC. Please register as early as possible to assist with our planning Registration is requested by 6/9.
